Nag Ashwin drops a massive spoiler of Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD
Recently, actor-producer Rana Daggubati and director Nag Ashwin attended the Synapse 2024 event in Gurgaon. During his visit, Nag revealed some intriguing information about his next movie, Kalki 2898 AD, which will feature Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in the key parts.
Surprisingly, Nag was honest when asked about the chronology of events in the movie, stating that it begins with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. He confessed and explained the chronology, “It covers a period of 6000 years. Our goal was to not make the worlds appear like Blade Runner but rather to imagine what they might look like while maintaining their Indian characteristics. 6000 years behind 2898 AD is 3102 BC, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed.”
Prabhas is all set to amaze:
Everyone is talking about OpenAI Sora, and many users are experimenting with using the platform to create entire universes and scenes. But Nag claimed he hasn’t used the AI yet. He also mentioned that he is busy because his movie is out on May 9. Nag promised to give it a try ‘shortly.‘ But he doubted AI could create something as ‘magical’ as something that has a human touch.
He remarked, “We had to build so many sets, vehicles, and designs for this Prabhas starrer film. The ideation, conceptualization, construction, prototyping, machinery, and ageing processes took a long time. I wouldn’t have to do this if I had used Sora instead. It could just be a prompt and I wouldn’t need to go for VFX. I’m also wondering if any magic will materialize during this struggle. We take months to get this right, so we might experience something different. Are you missing anything as a creator if it’s as simple as a prompt?”
Fans cannot wait to watch the magnum opus movie of Nag Ashwin. The audience is excited to see the Pan-Indian superstar Prabhas create magic on the screens. Kalki 2898 AD has created a lot of expectations amongst the viewers.
