Mayank Agarwal has finally revealed the answer for one of the biggest questions of social media in the last 4 years. It was during 2019 that India was on the tour of England for the ODI World Cup 2023. After the match against Australia, Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of the tournament. Rishabh Pant was named the replacement of the Southpaw for the remainder of the tournament.

During the tournament, Vijay Shankar was injured and was ruled out of the tournament. Mayank was called in as the replacement for the injured Shankar. The two replaced players went out for a walk in the streets of England during the tournament along with their mates like Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni, and Jasprit Bumrah. The three Indian cricketers took a selfie as well.

Back in 2019, it became a viral image. The presence of a star cricketer in the image like MS Dhoni made it a viral image. But over the years, there has been doubts regarding one aspect of the selfie. In the image, there seemed to be a non-existent person who seemed to have rested their hands on the shoulders of Pant, which was a huge talking point on the internet. It was always a talking point since then and became a meme material.

The issue finally seems to be getting settled. Agarwal, one of the persons in the selfie, has put an end to all the rumors and claimed that the mysterious hand on the shoulder of Pant belonged to him. The Indian opener took to Twitter and mentioned that it was his hand on Pant. The confirmation tweet of Agarwal is going viral on the internet with big interactions from the fans.

Agarwal posted an image of the selfie on Twitter and wrote “After years of extensive research, debates, and countless conspiracy theories, let the nation finally know it is MY hand on shoulder. Ps: Any and all other claims are misleading and not true.” Some were still not satisfied by Agarwal’s take.
