Star Indian batter Shubman Gill has been in roaring form in the IPL 2023. The right-hander has been giving a good start for Gujarat Titans. He made a stroke-filled 101 off 58 balls with 13 fours and one six. The 23-year-old was oozing confidence and class. It was a great display of proper cricketing shots and not one of the shots was played in anger. In 13 matches the GT opener has made 576 runs at an average of 48 and a strike rate of 146.19.
When he reached the landmark, he was complemented by Virat Kohli. Kohli took to Instagram and wrote, there is potential and then there is Gill. Go on and lead the next generation. God Bless you. There were a lot of reactions from the fans as Kohli was appreciating the next big thing in Indian cricket. Gill has been in sublime form for India as well. He has scored an ODI double-hundred as well as a T20I century.

Gujarat Titans beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs.
Coming to the match, the top order from GT did very well on a flat track. Sai Sudharsan got back into the side for Abhinav Manohar and made the opportunity count. The left-hander from Tamil Nadu scored an enterprising 47 off 36 balls with six fours and one six. The duo of Gill and Sudharsan put on a beautiful partnership of 147 runs for the third wicket after the early loss of Wriddhiman Saha.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a five-wicket haul and also affected a run-out. In the second innings, Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma were on target with the ball. They picked up four wickets each. Only Henrich Klassen took the attack to the bowlers and scored a fine 64 off 44 balls with four fours and three sixes. GT became the first team to qualify for the playoffs in IPL 2023.
The SRH batting did not turn up in a must-win game for them. At 59-7 the match looked like it was headed for an early finish. But Bhuvneshwar and Klassen put up a good partnership to reduce the margin of defeat to just 34 runs. GT won the IPL in their maiden season in 2022.
