Mohammed Shami lashes out at Hasan Raza for baseless allegations

India has been an indomitable force in the ongoing World Cup, showcasing their prowess with an impeccable winning streak of eight consecutive matches. With only one game left in the group stage against the Netherlands, India is poised to conclude this phase undefeated, a testament to their unwavering dominance.

While India’s remarkable performance in the ongoing World Cup has garnered widespread acclaim, there exists a small minority who attribute the team’s success to favourable circumstances rather than the team’s inherent capabilities. One such person is former Pakistani cricketer Hasan Raza who had claimed in a Live TV show that India is being helped by the Apex Council in the sense that they are getting different balls as compared to other teams.

“The way Siraj and Shami were swinging the ball, it seemed like the Apex Council or the Indian Board were giving them different and suspicious balls in the second innings. An inspection is required to be done on the ball. There might be an additional layer of coating for a better swing,” Raza had said.

A couple of days back, he also accused the Indian Cricket Board of manipulating the Decision Review System to favour their team. Raza’s comments have fetched him criticism from many quarters with the legendary Wasim Akram going to the extent of saying that such baseless accusations tarnish the reputation of the entire nation.

Mohammed Shami fires back at Raza

Now, India’s veteran pacer, Mohammed Shami has joined the growing chorus of Raza’s critics, voicing his disapproval of Raza’s remarks in an Instagram story. Mohammed Shami has strongly criticized Raza’s accusations, calling them “nonsense” and advising him to show more respect. Shami also echoed Wasim Akram’s advice, urging Raza to reconsider his statements.

“Sharam karo yaar game par focus karo na ki faltu bakwas par kabi to dusre ki success ko enjoy kia karo chii yar. World Cup hai apk local tournament nahi hai or Ap player hi the na. Wasim bhai ne samjhaya hai explain kia tha phir bhi. hahahahaha. Apne player apne Wasim Akram par yakhin nahi apko. Apna tarif karne mein lage hai janab apto just like a wow”, Shami wrote.
