Michael Vaughan’s recent tweet on Wasim Jaffer’s appointment as batting coach might leave you laughing forever

Former cricketers, Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer is known to pull each other’s leg on Twitter. Both have a great sense of humour and never leave any opportunity to troll each other on the internet.

Recently, the England cricketer took a dig at Jaffer after the latter was appointed as the batting coach of the Punjab franchise for the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League.

Jaffer took over the role on Wednesday after the franchise announced the development on its social media handle.

“The one you had been waiting for, introducing our Batting Coach, Wasim Jaffer! Reply with a meme to welcome the King!,” Punjab posted on Twitter.

Vaughan took this as an opportunity to troll former Indian cricketer. “Someone who got out to me is a batting coach !!!!!!!!!!!!” said Vaughan on Twitter.

Punjab didn’t have a great outing in the last edition of the tournament and, thus, have decided to opt for a major overhaul of their backroom staff.

The franchise has also appointed Trevor Bayliss as their batting coach and Charl Langelvedt as their bowling coach. Besides, Brad Haddin has been roped in as the assistant coach.

Apart from the support staff, Punjab have also released their skipper Mayank Agarwal from the squad, while Shikhar Dhawan has been appointed as the new skipper.

West Indies allrounder Odean Smith, Prerak Mankad, Writtick Chatterjee, Ishan Porel, Vaibhav Arora, Benny Howell and Sandeep Sharma have also been released along with Agarwal.
Ahead of the mini-auction, which is slated to take place on 22nd December 2022, Punjab have a big purse of 32.2 crores. They will be seen doing a lot of shopping and try to build a strong squad for the upcoming season.
