The Men in Blue and West Indies will lock horns, once again, in a high-octane 5-match T20I series, which is starting today. Just before the start of the series, the ace all-rounder for the Men in Blue, Hardik Pandya, took to social media to share a very interesting post.

The Men in Blue, in the recently concluded ODI series, trounced the Men in Maroon in a 3-0 clean sweep. The matches were very closely fought on two occasions but the Men in Blue clearly emerged as the better side on both occasions.

With regards to the T20I series, both teams start off with a clean slate and will be looking to dominate from the get-go. The T20I squad has not been announced yet by the Men in Maroon. Also for the Men in Blue, all the regulars return to the squad barring Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.

Rohit Sharma returns to normal duties. Rishabh Pant will partner Rohit Sharma at the top of the order. Yuzvendra Chahal has been rested for the T20I series. It will be a 3 pronged battle between Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav for the spinner’s spot. The Pace department will be spearheaded by Bhuvneshwar Kumar who was in great form in the T20I series against England. Bhuvneshwar’s experience with the ball will be vital for the Men in Blue.

However, the player who has been the most impactful in the last few limited-overs series for India is Hardik Pandya He will be the key again in the T20I series. The 28-year-old has been in brilliant form ever since making his comeback from injury.

He started by leading Gujarat Titans to a maiden Indian T20 League title in the recently concluded 2022 edition. The right-hander did stop there and continued his good form in the international setup to bring a lot of happiness to the Indian fans.

He recently caught up with one of all-time greatest cricketers, Brian Lara for a lunch session and mentioned the latter to be one of his favourites in his caption for the Instagram post. “Met this absolute legend for lunch ! Always a favourite in the Pandya household,” Pandya wrote as he shared the picture with Lara.
