Ahead of his stint with Inter Miami, Lionel Messi is trying to infuse himself into American Culture. The World Cup winner was spotted doing some grocery shopping in the US at a Super Market chain called Publix on his second day in America in South Florida. Messi was seen moving around with a trolley at the grocery store’s checkout counter.
There were things like General Mills’ Lucky Charms and Kellogg’s’ Fruit Loops. While his signing with the David Beckham-owned Inter Miami franchise is all but confirmed, the fans will want his signing to materialize as quickly as possible so that the American public gets a dose of Messi in the USA per the deal, Messi is set to earn a handsome sum of 54 Million per year. The ace footballer landed in the country on Thursday.

Messi is in the USA with his wife, Antonela, and their three sons, Thiago, 10, Mateo, 7, and Ciro, 5. The Argentina skipper had some time to pose for photographs and selfies with the fans as he made his way towards the store’s exit. Messi was seen having a meal with his family on a beach in Miami on his first day in the USA. As Messi made his way out of the eatery, he was seen kissing a fan.
Messi was officially expected to be announced as an Iner Miami player on Thursday, but the latest reports indicate that if things go according to plan then everything can fall into place on Friday. Messi is expected to debut for Inter Miami against Mexican side Cruz Azul on July 21.
Beckham, who said he did not have an update on the free transfer earlier this week, was seen at Inter Miami’s training ground on Wednesday, as he hopes to finish up regarding Messi’s move as soon as possible with the hope of seeing better days ahead for the club. Inter Miami is not in a good position when it comes to Major League Soccer at present. They are placed in 15th position at the Eastern Conference.
