A classic rivalry reignites. On Sunday afternoon, top-of-the-table Arsenal will face a revived Manchester United at Old Trafford, as the two sides revisit their rivalry. United was the laughing stock of the Premier League after a 4-0 defeat against Brentford on Matchday 2, but Erik ten Hag has since overseen three consecutive victories and added some serious quality to the Red Devils’ ranks.

In the meantime, Arsenal maintained their unbeaten start to the league season on Wednesday night, defeating Aston Villa 2-1 in another dominant performance. Sambi Lokonga shone on a rare start as the Gunners continued to do well in the absence of Thomas Partey and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
While the end of their summer window was somewhat underwhelming, Mikel Arteta’s side’s confidence right now is unlike anything we’ve seen at the Emirates in years. The Spaniard’s project is well underway, and a decisive win on Sunday would undoubtedly send a message to the rest of the division.

United’s improvement coincided with the inclusions of Raphael Varane and Tyrell Malacia into the starting lineup, and both will play on Sunday. Varane has formed a solid partnership with summer addition Lisandro Martinez.
Arteta is dealing with several injuries heading into the weekend. Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny have joined Reiss Nelson on the sidelines, but Oleksandr Zinchenko should be available. Sambi Lokonga should continue in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka, while Martin Odegaard took a knock against Villa and is questionable for this one.
