‘Maa da ladla bigar gaya’ – Fans in splits as Yuzvendra Chahal proposes to Jos Buttler in viral image

Yuzvendra Chahal, the star spinner for the Rajasthan Royals, is a real character who never fails to entertain his fans. During the Indian Premier League, he is always after foreign players and always pulls pranks on them. His latest target was English white-ball captain Jos Buttler.

In a photo that has been doing rounds on the internet, Chahal can be seen proposing to Buttler. The leg spinner was on his knee, while the team’s opening batter held his hand. Chahal had a bouquet in his other hand and Buttler was carrying his daughter in his arms.

Fans on Twitter have been going crazy looking at the picture of the two stars from the RR team camp. “Did Jos say yes?” wondered a fan. “Dhanashree ki problem samajh aa rahi hai Hamare hi ladke me khot hai,” wrote another user.

In the meantime, Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is on track to become the Indian Premier League’s most successful bowler with just seven wickets needed in his career. Chahal is currently second only to Dwayne Bravo, who has 183 scalps in 131 games. The leg-spinner, on the other hand, has 177 wickets from 137 games.

Chahal was a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2014 to 2021 before joining the Rajasthan Royals. The franchise released him and did not bid for him ahead of the 2022 IPL auction. Former England cricketer and broadcaster Kevin Pieterson claimed on Wednesday that the Haryana spinner is one of the best gifts to the RR in the history of the IPL. Pieterson also stated that he couldn’t believe RCB let him go.

“One of the greatest gifts in the history of the IPL is Chahal to the Rajasthan Royals. Absolutely no idea how Bangalore let him go. Always took the wickets, he was the bloke who kept them in the game,” said Pietersen on air during the RR vs LSG game.

Unbelievable that this bloke is now wearing pink. With the ball he was the most valuable asset for RCB,” he added.
