Langer has coached the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League and has also coached the Australian Team to a maiden T20 World Cup win in the United Arab Emirates in 2021.

Now there are reports according to Danik Jagran which state that the LSG owners got in touch with Langer in England regarding the head coach role. England is hosting the Ashes and Langer is doing his commentary commitments for the Test matches there. Currently, the scoreline reads 2-1 in favour of Australia. Gambhir hit 27 fifties for Kolkata Knight Riders when he played for them from 2011 to 2017

The KL Rahul-led side made it to the IPL playoffs in both seasons. On another note, there are reports emerging that Gautam Gambhir could leave the LSG setup and return to his former side Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Gambhir had a glorious career at KKR as he led them to two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. Gambhir also helped mentor young players who made it to the Indian team in later years. KKR under him was a formidable unit and had converted the Eden Gardens into a fortress.

During Gambhir’s time, KKR played to their strengths and prepared pacer-friendly pitches which they backed up with very good fast bowlers. Sometimes spin conducive wickets were also prepared at the Eden Gardens. KKR had mystery spinners like Sunil Narine and some local talent which gave them a very strong spin core.

When it came to Gambhir the batter at KKR, he put the team above himself as he chalked up a phenomenal record for the franchise. Gambhir scored 3035 runs from 2011 to 2017 at an average of 31.61 and a strike rate of 124.28. He hit 27 fifties for the franchise. KKR under Gambhir were able to reach great heights in their IPL history.
