‘Kya boring Test match chal raha hai’ – Fans react as West Indies mount a strong comeback, finish Day 2 on 86-1 following India’s commanding 438
India and West Indies locked horns against each other on Day 2 in Trinidad. The Day ended with West Indies at 86-1. For the Men in Maroon, Tagenarine Chaderpaul was caught by Ravichandran Ashwin off Ravindra Jadeja for 33 off 95 balls with four fours. Kraigg Brathwaite ended Day 2 unbeaten on 37 off 128 balls with three fours. Debutant Krik McKenzie was unbeaten on 14 off 25 balls with one four and one six. He did not have any nerves on his debut.
India continued on from where they left off at 288-4 and made their way to 438 all out. Virat Kohli converted his start into his 29th Test ton. The Delhi batter played some very fluent strokes on his way to 121 off 206 balls with 11 fours. As he was looking to up the ante, he was run out by a well-directed throw by Alzarri Joseph. The run-out also took place because Kohli and Jadeja had a mixup while running between the wickets as they looked for a tight single. Jadeja went soon after for a well-made 61 of 152 balls with five fours.
Ravichandran Ashwin made a valuable 56 off 78 balls to help India get to 438 in the first innings
Ravindra Jadeja after scoring 62 was dismissed by Joshua Da Silva in Kemar Roach’s over. Then Ishan Kishan came in and made a quickfire 25 off 37 balls with four fours. He was caught by Da Silva off Holder via a well-directed short ball. Jaydev Unadkat did not last long either as he was beaten in the flight by Jomel Warrican and stumped by the keeper. Ashwin batted with a lot of flair as he hit eight fours in a vital innings of 56 off 78 balls. Ashwin batted well with the tail and kept looking for boundaries and rotation of strike even when wickets were falling around him.
Mohammed Siraj did not last long as he fell to Warrican for 0 off 11 balls. Ashwin who kept looking for boundaries provided too much room for a slower delivery bowled by Kemar Roach and was castled. In the second innings, The West Indies got off to a strong start with Chanderpaul hitting some fours early on and Brathwaite blocking it out. After Chanderpaul fell, McKenzie came out and took the spinners on during his innings.

What boring test match! Hardly any excitement. India bowling looking so ordinary n Windies batting is very slow. Only plus in this #INDvsWI was #ViratKohli𓃵 29th test Century.

Loving fighting sprit of WI. Making Indian bowlers work hard. Wondering how this match would have been poised if it was green pitch assisting pace and bounce. Considering 3 of the WI pacers have more than 150 wickets and remaining one is promising young bowler. #INDvsWI
