The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants was a really close encounter. It was a low-scoring thriller where RCB ended up on the winning side by 18 runs. The game though got a huge number of overwhelming responses because of the big explosive fight that happened between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. It was a hard altercation that took place after the game ended.

Mohammed Siraj was also involved in a heated argument with Naveen ul Haq. Later in the dressing room, it appeared that Siraj wanted to take a jibe at LSG and Gautam Gambhir for what had transpired, and he showed his middle finger to the camera inside the dressing room after the match ended. Siraj was not having the best of starts in IPL 2023, but in the three games that Kohli captained, Siraj was back amongst the wickets. Against Punjab Kings at Mohali, he picked up 4-21 in his four-over spell.

Mohammed Siraj has picked up 15 wickets in nine matches in IPL 2023 so far

Against Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders, he picked up a wicket each. In the game against RR, he bowled a peach of a delivery to dismiss Jos Buttler. Kohli and Siraj have had a great bonding. When Siraj was not having the best of IPL seasons in 2019, Kohli backed him and Siraj continued to be a part of the RCB setup. In 2020, Siraj repaid the faith with a good season and also a match-winning spell against KKR.

Kohli and Siraj have had great support and understand each other very well. The fast bowler has now become a pivotal part of the Indian side in all three formats. When he was retained by RCB for 7 crores INR in the 2022 mega auction, he said he was thrilled to continue his association with RCB and that he would not have gone to any other franchise even if they had offered him a bigger sum of money.

In the IPL 2023, Siraj has done well so far. The right-armer has picked up 15 wickets from nine matches at an average of 17.13. He is only behind Tushar Deshpande in the race for the Purple Cap. If RCB is to go all the way this season, then Siraj needs to keep dishing out match-winning performances consistently.
