‘KL Rahul ko faltu nikala haaye lag gayi uski’ – Fans share memes after India get bundled out for 109 in 3rd Test against Australia
India is currently locking horns with Australia in the Third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Holkar Stadium in Indore. The third Test has not been as India has planned. India after winning the toss decided to bat first and got exposed in front of Aussie spinners.
After opting to bat India got a very disastrous start as they were restricted to 84 for 7 at the end of the first session. In the very first over of the game, Mitchell Starc granted India captain Rohit Sharma two golden chances. Although The visitors didn’t suffer much as Rohit only got 12 runs before being stumped out in the sixth over.
It opened the floodgates for India as they lost wickets in quick succession. India panicked against the spinners on rank turner’s wicket and failed to apply any skills. Virat Kohli and Opener Shubman Gill were the only two batters to score more than 20 runs.
Meanwhile, the Australian spin duo of Matthew Kuhnemann and Nathan Lyon rattled the Indian batting lineup. Both shared 8 wickets in between as Kuhnemann took five-for while Lyon clinched three wickets. Another finger spinner Tod Murphy also got a wicket.
India dropped KL Rahul after a series of poor performance
Earlier, both India and Australia made few changes in the playing XI as they came in the third Test after a 10-day break. India dropped KL Rahul who has been one of the weakest links in the batting line-up. Rahul was replaced by in form Shubman Gill while Pacer Umesh Yadav replaced Mohammed Shami who has been left out to manage his workload.
On the other hand, Australia also made two changes in place of pacer Pat Cummins they bought in Mitchell Starc while David Warner was replaced by all-rounder Camron Green.
