Karisma Kapoor saw Raj Kapoor pull women by their hair? – Director Dharmesh Darshan shares shocking truth!

Karisma Kapoor is descended from a distinguished line of film actors that includes her grandfather Raj Kapoor, Prithviraj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and Shashi Kapoor. Director Dharmesh Darshan has now disclosed how she previously informed him about Raj’s abusive behavior toward women in an interview with Lehren Retro.

Dharmesh remembered a scene in his 1996 hit romantic film Raja Hindustani wherein Aamir Khan’s drunk character was supposed to pull Karisma’s hair during the filming of the song Tere Ishq Mein Naachenge. However, Aamir Khan advised him to grab Karisma by the arm instead, and Dharmesh agreed because they felt like they were going too far.

Dharmesh remarked in the interview, “Karisma was the one who demanded that Aamir grab her by the hair. I was led to a corner by her. She asked if we could do it. She told me, ‘I’ve seen my grandfather do it sometimes.’ I went to Aamir after she told me that and told him, ‘No one take this, one take that. Just pull her hair straight away.'” He claimed that she thinks from her heart, whereas Aamir thinks with his head.

In the same interview, Dharmesh stated that Karisma was completely amenable to her widely talked-about, protracted kissing scene with Aamir. She simply requested that the director tell her mother and former actress Babita about it. In fact, she was invited to witness the three-day filming of that particular scene.

Karisma is the child of renowned actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor’s eldest son, actor Randhir Kapoor. Raj had a well-known liaison with co-star Nargis while he was married to Krishna Kapoor. Karisma has worked in several remarkable films. On the work front, she is all set to feature in upcoming films Brown and Murder Mubarak. For Christmas 2024, Aamir will be the star of his own production, Sitaare Zameen Par.
