The fourth T20I of the ongoing five-match series between West Indies and India concluded in Lauderhill, Florida, on August 6, Saturday. West Indies won the toss and choose to field first. The Men in Blue put up a dazzling batting display, scoring 191 runs in 20 overs on a good batting pitch and also due to the small ground.

In India’s Innings, Suryakymar Yadav played a shot that stunned everyone. He played the shot off the third ball of the third over. West Indies left-arm fast bowler Obed McCoy bowled a full delivery on the fourth stump line on the offside. Suryakumar pounced on the ball that was pitched up and dispatched it over the fence with a helicopter shot. He skipped across the pitch on the follow-through as he saw the ball travel 80 meters.

The shot was very MS Dhoni-like. It had a bit of swagger, poise, grace, and elegance to it. Suryakumar Yadav has played this shot quite often in the Indian T20 League. Surya can play this shot effortlessly because of his subtle use of the wrist and his amazing hand-eye coordination which allows him to whip the ball for six while playing such a tough shot.

“Just a flick of the wrist of Suryakumar Yadav,” said the commentator on Fan Code. “Have a look at this again! Walks across, a bit of a helicopter and the skip of the jump and the way she goes. Six more!”

No one got a big score while the Men in Blue posted a massive total of 191 runs. However, vital contributions from everyone allowed India to coast to a big total. Once that was done, it was always going to be a tough ask for the West Indies batters to chase the total down.

The bowlers had a great performance as a unit and even though there was some resistance from the West Indies batters. In the end, it did not make much difference as they could not get anywhere near to the massive total which was set by India. The Men in Blue have a comfortable 3-1 series lead going into the final T20I of the series which takes place today.
