‘Jay Shah ne bahut jaldi celebrate kar diya’- Fans react to Jay Shah’s weird gesture during IPL 2023 Final
Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans gave an Indian Premier League final to be remembered. CSK triumphed over GT by 5 wickets. MS Dhoni the man with the Midas touch scripted history once again. CSK are on par with MI when it comes to titles. Both franchises have won five each. GT had a champion side and were almost on the verge of getting their second title, but they were so near yet so far in the end.
Meanwhile, Jay Shah has made a lot of headlines on social media. The Indian cricket board secretary was seen making a weird gesture which looked like a premature celebration. It looked like he made the gesture in the last over when Mohit Sharma nailed four yorkers in four balls. But Ravindra Jadeja changed the script by getting the 10 runs that were required off the last two balls. The man from Jamnagar gave a lot of happy tears to the CSK fans.

Indian Premier League 2023 has been a season of comebacks
The IPL 2023 has had everything. From last-over thrillers to last-ball finishes, this IPL had it all. The average powerplay scores have been at an all-time high. In IPL 2023, the greatest number of centuries, fours and sixes have been hit. Throughout the season, the fans have been on the edge of their seats. It has been an IPL of comebacks and also a tournament of many firsts. The impact player rule has helped veterans to make a grand comeback into the tournament.
The likes of Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Piyush Chawla, Ajinkya Rahane and others have showcased their class with outstanding performances. The home-and-away concept came back after a three-year hiatus. Due to this, not many teams were able to get on a consistent run barring one or two of them. The fans in India have had a great two-month cricket festival which they will remember forever.
The two new kids on the block that is GT and Lucknow Super Giants showed why they are not to be taken lightly. The two sides reached the playoffs stage for a second time in two seasons. It all had to come down to a thrilling final to end what has been an IPL season to savour.
