Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took a dig at the fans by posting a picture with the ‘Most Valuable Asset of the Match’ award after CSK made it into the final of IPL 2023 after defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 15 runs at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Jadeja was the MVP for CSK in the match for his contribution with both bat and ball.

CSK set a target of 173 runs for GT to chase after batting first Qualifier 1. Player of the Match Ruturaj Gaikwad got out after scoring 60 runs off 44 balls. In the last few overs, Jadeja took charge of CSK’s batting with wickets falling from the other end. He got out on the last ball of the innings after scoring 22 runs off 16 balls. The 34-year-old also delivered with the ball as he only conceded 18 runs in his four overs and also took 2 wickets. CSK bowled GT out for 157 runs in 20 overs and Qualified for their 10th IPL final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 28th.

After the match, Jadeja posted a picture of him while collecting the award for the Most Valuable Asset of the Match. With this, he also put up a caption ‘Upstox knows but..some fans don’t,’ that caught the attention of the netizens.

It looks like Jadeja doesn’t seem to be happy with the fans when they wait for him to get out so that they can see the CSK skipper MS Dhoni can come to bat. It has been mostly seen in the ongoing season that the CSK fans have been so desperate to see Dhoni bat that they even celebrate the wicket of a batter who goes before him.

Jadeja has mostly batted ahead of Dhoni in the ongoing season and he even confessed that doesn’t particularly enjoy the fans chanting “Dhoni’s” name when he is still at the crease. “I keep hearing Mahi bhai’s chants. If I bat higher, then the crowd will wait for me to get out. As long as the team wins, I am happy,” Jadeja said after CSK’s clash with Delhi Capitals on May 10th.
