‘Isko team mein permanent spot de do’ -Fans react as Sanju Samson opens up about playing in ‘different positions’ for India across eight years
India registered a clinical win in the third ODI at Trinidad by beating West Indies by 200 runs. The batters clicked like clockwork and made sure they got a big score on the board. The Men in Blue got to 351-5. Sanju Samson made the most of his opportunity after missing out in the second ODI by scoring a well-made 51 off 41 balls with two fours and four sixes. He took the bowlers and was very assured in his shot-making throughout his innings. The Man from Kerala made the most of a good batting track.
After the first innings, he gave an interview saying that life has been very tough for him as an Indian Cricketer. Being an Indian cricketer is a challenging thing. I have played domestic cricket for the last 8-9 years and for India here and there, so it gives you a bit of an understanding of playing in different positions. It is the number of overs you get and it is not about batting position, so you gotta prepare accordingly.” he said in his interview.
I wanted to use my feet and dominate the lengths of the bowlers – Sanju Samson
With Samson also getting the runs, he has put his hand up for a spot in the World Cup squad for team India which will be played at home. “It feels really great to spend some time in the middle, score some runs and contribute for your country. I had different plans for different players. I wanted to use my feet and dominate the lengths of the bowlers. Samson said talking about his knock. In the second innings, 104 the Indian bowlers were all over the West Indies batters like a rash as they could make only 151.
Taking about the right-handed batter in ODIs, he has played 13 games and scored 390 runs at an average of 55.71 and a strike rate of 104. The 28-year-old has hit three half-centuries with the highest score of 86 that came against South Africa at home. He will want to get a string of good scores so that he can be a part of the World Cup squad.

sanju samson have to crack tough exams with limited attempts and negetive marking to qualify whereas some of his team mates qualify directly though the ipl quota system.
