‘Iska chichorapan Karan Johar ke show me dekh liya tha’ – Fans react on Hardik Pandya’s ‘if you don’t respect me, you don’t deserve my respect’ comment
Indian cricket team star allrounder Hardik Pandya is renowned for leading a flamboyant lifestyle off the pitch, but when he was a teenager and was expelled from the Baroda U-16 squad owing to attitude issues, he struggled to make ends meet. He recently revealed the reason behind getting dropped from his domestic team at the age of 17.
Hardik will be back in action as Gujarat Titans (GT) are set to clash against Rajasthan Royals on Friday, May 5 in the 48th match of the Indian Premier League. However, ahead of the clash, Hardik revealed how people misunderstand him. Hardik revealed that he was dropped from the Baroda team because people thought he had some attitude issues but he believes that those who don’t respect him then they also don’t deserve his respect.
“I was dropped from the Baroda team when 17 because people thought I had some attitude problems. My belief is that if you don’t respect me, you don’t deserve my respect”.
Will RR take the No. 1 spot?
Meanwhile, Pandya had a fantastic year in 2022. After missing the T20 World Cup the year before and spending months away from the Indian team, Hardik returned as captain of the GT and guided the franchise to its first IPL title. The talented all-rounder returned to the Indian team after the triumph and quickly cemented his place in the team’s limited-overs lineup.
In what is undoubtedly the most competitive IPL season yet, RR, who have already defeated GT this year, have a chance to overtake them and take the top spot. To put that in perspective, RR’s victory will move them into first place, but only two points will stand between them and Punjab Kings (PBKS), who are standing in sixth place.
In the middle overs, where GT may get aggressive from both ends with the spin of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed. On the other hand, RR spin wizard Yuzvendra Chahal isn’t looked much effective in the season so far. With Hardik’s batting stock at an all-time low and Wriddhiman Saha’s performance in the PowerPlay declining, GT’s problems are more personal in nature.
