Rishabh Pant has been out of the Indian team for over 8 months and the fans cannot stop missing him. The 25-year-old met with an accident towards the end of 2022 while going back home. The accident occurred in the wee hours as Pant was driving to be with his family.

This unfortunate accident shook a lot of fans as Rishabh Pant is one of the loved stars. The dynamic wicketkeeper and batter has missed out on cricketing action this year. Pant has been working hard on his fitness in a bid to make a comeback.

Rishabh Pant is expected to miss the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup despite his recovery. The Indian team management is targeting Pant’s return for the South African series. India is expected to tour South Africa for 3 ODI, 3 T20I, and two match test series starting December 10th.

Rishabh Pant posts his latest update as he gears up for a comeback

Indian cricket fans got another update from Rishabh Pant as far as his fitness is concerned. The Indian wicketkeeper batter was seen running the paces in a gym albeit with a knee brace on.

There is a short 12-second video that is doing the rounds on Twitter, with the caption “Seeing some light in the dark tunnel”. Rishabh Pant can be seen visibly happy with the work that he is putting.

Rishabh Pant was recently seen mingling with his Indian teammates before they flew to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup. The 25-year-old was seen in good spirits as he was seen interacting and having some with his teammates.

Rishabh Pant’s absence meant that India had to try two new wicketkeepers in the Test format. His record against Australia meant that he was sorely missed during the four-match test series at home. Pant was also massively missed during the World Test Championship final against Australia.

Rishabh Pant has played 33 tests so far and scored 2271 runs with 5 centuries and 11 fifties. In the ODI format, Pant has played 30 games and scored 865 runs with one century and 5 half centuries. The left-handed wicketkeeper has played 66 T20 games for India scoring 987 runs with 3 half centuries.
