The batter was also seen holding a special note given to him by a fan, which had, “Shardul Thakur 54″ written on it along with a heart symbol (54 being Shardul’s jersey number). Later, Ishan handed it over to Shardul.

The adorable post-match interaction was shared by the official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). “Fan interactions with local lad Ishan Kishan. P.S. – Also, Ishan delivers a special fan note to Shardul Thakur,” read the caption of the post.

Here is the video

Ishan Kishan was on a six-hitting spree in the second ODI against South Africa as he had smashed Maharaj for two sixes in an over and he had taken the bowler out of the attack which derailed South Africa’s plans. Kishan talked about his six-hitting spree at the post-match press conference where he said that he will back his six-hitting abilities to the hilt.

My strength is to hit sixes -Ishan Kishan

“Rotate karne ki jaha tak baat hai toh wo kuch players ka strength hota hai, kini ka strength hota hai chhakka marna. Toh mere jaisa koi chhakka bhi itni jaldi nahi maar sakta, main bohut asaani se maarta hu. Wo mera strength hai. Toh agar main chhakke se hi kar leta hu kaam toh rotate ka utna sochta nahi hu. (Some players have the strength to rotate the strike, my strength is to hit sixes. I hit sixes effortlessly and not many can do that. If I do the job by hitting sixes, there’s no need to think about rotating the strike much) he said in the post-match interaction.

Kishan played a mature innings where he took his time early on and got the measure of the pitch and later on went ballistic against the South African attack which gave India a series-levelling victory. The two teams will have all to play for at the series decider which will take place in Delhi.
