Together with Jos Buttler, Shardul has become the joint-fastest to reach 50 runs in just 20 balls, and he has single-handedly lifted Kolkata from a precarious situation to one of strength.

The fifty-run collaboration between Shardul and Rinku has ended, with Shardul scoring 42 off 15 balls including four fours and three sixes to account for the bulk of the runs. Thanks to Shardul’s counter attacking innings, KKR has collected 61 runs in the five overs (10-15) while only losing two wickets.
