IPL 2024: Top three players Delhi Capitals will look to buy during Auction

Three players Delhi Capitals could be looking to buy to win their first IPL title next year.

Delhi Capitals(DC) head into the IPL 2024 season in search of that elusive title that they haven’t been able to win. After releasing 11 players last Sunday, Rishabh Pant and his side will head back with a new strategy to Dubai for the IPL Auction 2024.

It was a disappointing season for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023. David Warner saw his side finish in the bottom half of the table despite showing signs of resurgence during the latter half of the season.

In this article, let’s take a look at the three players Delhi Capitals could buy during the IPL Auction 2024.

New Zealand’s leading run-scorer during the ODI World Cup 2023 will be one to watch out for during the IPL Auction 2024 in Dubai. The 24-year-old created a new fan base for himself in India after scoring over 500 runs during the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.

Rachin Ravindra can bat at the top of the order as well as in the middle order. He is competent against both the spinners and the pacers and is adept at scoring at a brisk pace. The youngster can also roll his arm over and bowl some useful left-arm spin which can be handy on the low and slow New Delhi Tracks.

After making his India debut last year, Shivam Mavi has been out due to an injury. Gujarat Titans released the 25-year-old last Sunday in a surprising move. Shivam Mavi has priced himself at INR 50 Lakhs and could be a steal for Delhi Capitals during the IPL Auctions 2024 on the 19th of December.

The 25-year-old can bowl at good speeds and is also a decent batter in the back end of the innings. Shivam Mavi is also an electric fielder with a bullet throw and a safe catcher inside the ring and in the outfield.

Josh Inglis –

Delhi Capitals surprisingly released Phil Salt despite his performances during the IPL 2023 season. Josh Inglis could be a great addition to the team during the IPL Auction 2024 in a few weeks.

The Australian has already shown his skills with the bat scoring a century against India during the T20I series. The 28-year-old is an amazing batter against spin as well as against pace bowling. David Warner could certainly put in a word for his fellow Aussie to join him at the Arun Jaitley Stadium for the upcoming season. –
