Middle order sensations
In the middle order, one might often look at anchoring the innings to play out the tough overs against the spinners. That is where the players in the team become so important, who do not just play out the overs of the spinners, but damage the opponents with their incredible stroke-making against the spinners. That way, the opponents are at the back step right from the beginning. The two batters play in a similar tempo.
Suryakumar Yadav would bat at number 3 in the side. In the previous season, Yadav had his greatest season as a batter, where he scored over 600 runs at a strike rate of well over 180. These are astonishing numbers for a batter batting mostly at 3 or 4. With him going bonkers at one end, bowlers would be under immense pressure. The MI batter has all kinds of shots in his armory and can take the game away from the opposition in a matter of few overs.
Glenn Maxwell would bat at 4 in the team. The Australian is a complete package for a side. With the bat, Maxwell is aggressive, just like Suryakumar. He attacks the spinners well and never fears to take the attack on the opposition. In the death overs, he can smash the best bowlers in the world without mercy. If necessary, Maxwell can be handy with his spin bowling. The star batter is a pure match-winner and a terrific fielder outside the 30-yard circle.
