The West Indian all-rounder is one of the franchise’s lineup players with the greatest experience. Since joining the Indian T20 League side in 2014, Andre Russell has intimately known the team’s players, staff, and management. Russell has a plethora of experience with him and has prior experience as a leader in the Bangladesh Premier League and Caribbean Premier League. The all-rounder is a legend in his own right, and Kolkata would have benefited much from his ability to set a good example. His size and international experience would have undoubtedly changed the dynamic in Kolkata’s locker room.
