On Thursday, the BCCI took to Twitter to share the news of Indian players leaving for England for the rescheduled fifth Test. The tweet contained images of Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj, Cheteshwar Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah and other players boarding their flight to England.
Thus, it didn’t take too long for the Tweets to go viral. Several fans reacted to the same as well. India are scheduled to play the fifth Test of the five-match Test series that got postponed last year due to the Covid outbreak in the Indian camp. After the Test, the team will play three ODIs and three T20 series as well.

The tour to England is of tremendous importance to the Indian team as they await a series victory on English soil after 15 years. A draw or win in the final Test could seal the series for India as they’re currently leading England by 2-1. This series will also feature one of the greatest battles of the last decade between English seamer James Anderson and Indian stalwart Virat Kohli probably for one final time. The fans will be eager to see this mouth-watering competition between the bat and the ball. Over the years, the two star players have had their own rivalry.
The limited-overs leg of the tour is the perfect opportunity for India to test their ability against arguably the best limited-overs side in the world. With not much time left for the 20-20 World Cup, the Asian side will look to find the best working combination for the mega event of this year. The ODI performance of the team has not been up to the mark in recent times as they’ve lost against strong teams.
