In a landmark decision reflecting their commitment to promoting women’s cricket, the Indian Cricket Board has announced a multi-day women’s red-ball tournament. This historic move is set to kick off on March 29th, immediately following the much-anticipated conclusion of the inaugural Women’s Premier League 2024.
This exciting tournament marks a significant step towards expanding the horizons of women’s cricket in India. The competition will feature six zonal teams- East, West, North, South, Central, and NorthEast- locked in five intense matches. Fans can expect to witness nail-biting action starting with two quarterfinals on March 29th, 30th, and 31st. The tournament then advances into the semifinal stage, with a couple of matches likely scheduled for April 5th, 6th, and 7th.
