After the completion of the Indian T20 League, Indian players will be back in action against South Africa in their home conditions. This will be a five-match T20I series and it will be played from 9 to 19 June 2022.

Team India announced their squad, and have provided rest to some of their key members like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Based on the performance of some young players like Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh in the Indian T20 Leauge 2022, they got a maiden call-up to the National setup. On the other hand, South Africa named a full-strength squad for the series as they will be in action in this shortest format of the game for the first time since last year’s World Cup.

After a stellar show for the Bangalore franchise, Dinesh Karthik earned a comeback call along with Hardik Pandya. Both Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will look to build up their partnership again. Harshal Patel retained his spot in the squad along with the experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Talking about the Proteas, players like Quinton de Kock, David Miller, and Kagiso Rabada enjoyed a good Indian T20 Leauge this year. World’s no.1 T20I bowler Tabraiz Shamsi will look to contribute to his team in the Indian conditions.
