India and Ireland are set to go head-to-head against each other in a two-match T20 international series, starting 26^th June 2022.  The first match of the series will start tomorrow at 9:00 pm (IST) at The Village, Dublin. The Indian team is coming into this series on the back of a 2-2 draw against South Africa.

Indian Team

The Indian team will be playing this series without their senior players. The youngsters will be looking to perform and leave a mark in the absence of the seniors to make a strong case for them for playing the upcoming 20-20 world cup.

Players to watch-out for:

1. Rahul Tripathi

Rahul Tripathi has been one of the most consistent batsmen in the Indian T20 league over the years. He was the backbone of the Hyderabad team batting line-up this year, scoring 413 runs at a strike-rate of 158. He will be the man to watch out for in this series.

2. Umran Malik

After not getting a chance to play in the South Africa T20 series, Umran Malik will be desperate to make a statement with his performance in the blue jersey.

3. Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh impressed everyone with his bowling exploits while bowling in the powerplay and in the death overs in the Indian T20 League. The bowler from Punjab has been phenomenal for his franchise picking up 10 wickets with an economy of 7.70 which is remarkable for a bowler who bowls in the death overs.

 1.    Andy Balbirnie:

The experienced batter has 1429 runs in 67 innings at an average of 24.22, with five fifties. The batsman will be eager to smash the ball all around the ground against the Indian bowlers.

2.    Andy McBrine:

The quality all-rounder is in great form coming into the series. In 57 T20s, he has 55 wickets and 576 runs. In the ODI series against West Indies, Andy picked up 10 wickets and scored 128 runs.

3.    Mark Adair:

Adair has been a consistent performer, whether be it with bat or ball. In 39 T20Is, he has picked 59 wickets and scored 259 runs.
