Rain is unlikely to disrupt today’s game between India and Australia

The Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati is set to witness a thrilling encounter as India and Australia lock horns in the third T20I of the five-match series today. The hosts, led by the in-form Suryakumar Yadav, are riding high on confidence after securing convincing victories in the first two matches, taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the series. However, Australia, captained by the experienced Matthew Wade, will be desperate to bounce back and keep their hopes alive.

India’s batting prowess has been on full display throughout the series, with contributions from all corners of the lineup. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been in pretty good form, while the middle and lower order have provided valuable support. The bowling has been quite concerning as apart from Axar Patel, all the other bowlers have conceded runs at 9 or more per over. To be fair to them, the flat conditions haven’t helped their cause either.

Australia’s bowlers too, have had a tough time so far in the series. They have struggled to contain India’s aggressive batters. However, if they want to remain in the series, they will need to find a way to counter India’s batting unit. Their batting on the other hand, has shown glimpses of brilliance, but they have been inconsistent overall.

Will rain play spoilsport?

While rain is expected to remain at bay throughout the match, the skies over Guwahati will be casting a shadow over the stadium. As such, there will definitely be help for the bowlers, much to their relief.

As the sun sets over Guwahati and the lights illuminate in the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, the temperature is expected to stay at around a pleasant 21 degrees Celsius at the commencement of the match at 7:00 pm IST. Throughout the evening, the temperature will gradually descend to a comfortable 19 degrees Celsius by the conclusion of play around 10:30 pm IST. This mild and refreshing atmosphere is perfect for an exhilarating game of cricket under the floodlights.
