Pooja Entertainment’s Mission Raniganj has established its dominance in the theatres thanks to strong word-of-mouth and overwhelmingly positive reviews from all over. The movie is slowly playing to packed theatres around the country after securing its position as the audience’s top pick on National Cinema Day. Even though it has not been a box office success, the film is slowly gaining appreciation. The creators have now made a very wise decision and separately submitted the movie to the Oscars before it received unparalleled acclaim.

The Mission Raniganj filmmakers appear to be deserving of every accolade that the film’s extraordinarily inspirational story merits. The creators have now individually submitted the movie to the Oscars in order to guarantee the same. It is undoubtedly a very wise and important decision because Mission Raniganj is an actual account of people—specifically, coal miners—who were saved by a hero, Jaswant Singh Gill, after becoming trapped in an impossible circumstance.

Mission Raniganj is set for the world stage:

The movie is directed by the ace director Tinu Suresh Desai and is being produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor. It claims to depict the coal mine accident that rocked not just the country but the entire world. The rescue squad was led by Jaswant Singh Gill, and their unwavering commitment provided moviegoers with an amazing cinematic experience.

According to the Sacnilk, early estimates show that Mission Raniganj made 1.3 crore net in India on its sixth day. The movie made 2.8 crore on the first day, 4.8 crore on the second, 5 crore on the third, and 1.50 crore on each of the fourth and fifth days. The movie has so far made 16.90 crores in India. On Wednesday, Mission Raniganj had a 9.68% occupancy rate for the Hindi audience.

The movie, which was directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, saw a decline in its revenue in India. Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, which debuted last week, has reportedly earned close to 17 crore rupees in India thus far, according to Sacnilk.com. Now, it will be interesting to see if the film will be able to leave its mark on the international audience.
