India (IND) will take on South Africa (SA) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 5 in a game which has been declared by many pundits as the ‘Game of the tournament”. The game deserves the hype because India and South Africa have been extraordinary in this World Cup. While India are unbeaten, the Proteas have dropped just one game. With the knockout stage just around the corner, this game will serve as ideal preparation for both teams.

Kolkata is expected to have clear and sunny weather on Sunday, November 5, with no chance of rain. The pitch, on the other hand, is expected to be favourable to batters from both teams. The scores in the two matches played in Kolkata in this tournament have not been high due to some poor batting, but Pakistan’s performance against Bangladesh demonstrated how good the pitch is.
India have been dealt a huge blow as their star allrounder, Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament. Pandya missed the last three games that India played but was expected to recover in time for the business end of the tournament. However, that is not a possibility now.
Fortunately for the Proteas, they do not have any injury concerns.
