‘I will not answer those questions now’ – Rohit Sharma snaps at journalist after India’s World Cup squad announcement

The Indian Cricket Board has revealed a 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup on September 5. Notably, Rohit Sharma’s side has been gearing up to win the upcoming ODI World Cup as the host once again after 2011, when Team India clinched the major tournament by defeating Sri Lanka in the final match under the captaincy of legendary cricketer MS Dhoni.

Meanwhile, as the squad was announced, the journalist asked India skipper Rohit Sharma about the outside noises during the marquee event. The 36-year-old cricketer loses his patience while clamoring that one should not ask him such meaningless questions during the press conferences. The right-handed batter clearly stated that they don’t want to pay attention to any outside noises while affirming he won’t answer such baseless questions next time.

“Don’t ask me such questions when we do press conferences in India. We don’t want to pay attention to outside noise. I have already said many times, we do not pay attention to those things and I will not answer those questions now,” Rohit Sharma said during the press-conference.

Answering the same question, the opening batter clarifies that some of the players will be disappointed from the squad after not getting a place in it. In addition, the Mumbai Indian’s batter says that some star cricketers have to be missed, and they need to make the tough calls.

“There are no surprises and you can get only 15 in. Some of the guys will be disappointed. I have gone through it and I know how it feels. We have good all-round options and this is the best 15 we could get. I have not thought about plans yet. We need to see what the best possible combination could be. If someone misses out, then so be it. This keeps happening. You have to make tough calls for the team,” he added further.
