There have been a lot of young cricketers who have made a name for themselves in the cricketing world with some great performances. One of the players who are on the radar of the selectors are the brotherly duo of Sarfaraz Khan and Musheer Khan. These two brothers have recently taken Indian cricket by storm, with some exceptional performances in domestic cricket right now and have already been in the talks of playing competitive cricket in the future. Musheer is currently playing in the ongoing U19 World Cup 2024 and Sarfaraz has just got his first Test call-up for India in the Test series against England.

Sarfaraz has been having a great season in first class cricket for Mumbai where he is averaging close to 70 in his 45 matches and Musheer is right now the highest run scorer for his team in the India U19 team. These consistent performances are the prime example of why they are being looked at by the selectors as future prospects. The two brothers have been impressing us since their debuts where Sarfaraz was the youngest player to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Musheer already made his name in the domestic circuit by being the youngest player to play Kanga League at the age of 7 years old.

Sarfaraz Khan praising his young brother

Sarfaraz Khan has recently talked about his younger brother in an interview saying Musheer Khan is a much better batter than him. The upcoming star also added further stating “Sometimes, I may be struggling but watching his technique and trying to work out what he’s doing would give me confidence”. He also went on to say that he learns from his mistakes while watching his brother’s batting. This shows the amount of respect both of them have for each other where Sarfaraz even while being the eldest and the most experienced batters among the two still considers his brother much more talented.

The future of both these young batters looks really bright as they are already showing a lot of skill and talent in the game already. Sarfaraz is a much more powerful player compared to his brother, Musheer has the elegance and technique that Sarfaraz is not known for. It will be a treat to see these two play together in the bigger tournaments and prove themselves on the big stage. This is a great start to a very promising career so far for both these wonderful sportsmen. The growth of these two brothers will be exciting to watch going further.
