Ravi Shastri has always walked the talk. There is an air of swag about him. He commands a certain respect when he is around. Ravi Shastri has always been the man who the Indian Cricket Board has dialed at the time of crisis, and he has answered the call at all times. Ravi Shastri has a heart of gold and has thought for the good of Indian Cricket at all times.

He has aced every role and performed all of them with aplomb, be it as a player, or the manager of the Indian Cricket Team. He had a successful tenure as coach of the Indian Team for 7 years and especially when he worked with Virat Kohli who was at the helm of affairs. The duo took to each other like melted cheese and formed an inseparable bond when they were together. The Indian Team won back-to-back victories in Australia under his reign in 2018 and 2021.

After he finished his coaching stint on a dry note with India exiting from the group stages of the 20 -20 World Cup 2021, he decided to call it quits from the job. He also said that he will not do any high-level coaching in the future.

‘I will stick to commentary for now’- Ravi Shastri

Mera coaching ka hisaab khatham ho gaya (My time with coaching has come to an end). Saat saal jitna karna tha, mein kar liya (For seven years, I have done enough). If I’m doing some coaching, it will be at the grassroots level, for which I have a company that is doing it. I will participate in that. Otherwise, my time as a coach has come to an end. Now I will view the game from far away and enjoy it,” said Shastri.

Ravi Shastri took up the mic again for the Indian T20 League edition of 202. At present, he is plying his trade as the commissioner of the Legends League Cricket.
