‘I got bowled twice in nets’- [Watch] Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill involve in a hilarious exchange of words
Ishan Kishan turned the attention of the entire cricketing fraternity towards him on Saturday when he came into bat for India in the third ODI against Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. He opened the innings with Shikhar Dhawan and little did anyone know what they were about to witness.
The Indian batter produced one of the greatest knocks in the history of ODI cricket. Kishan exhibited a masterclass display of batting as he smashed 24 fours and 10 sixes on an ideal batting surface in Chattogram.
He set his intentions quite clear from the start and didn’t spare a single bowler, be it a fast bowler or a spinner. The southpaw notched a century in just 85 balls before changing his gears and turning into a beast mode.
He went on to score a double-century in just 126 deliveries, thereby becoming the fastest batsman to reach the feat. His knock helped the team reach a mammoth score of 406 runs on the board in the first innings.
India ended up winning the game by 227 runs. After the match, the Indian Cricket Board posted a video on their official website, in which Ishan Kishan could be seen talking to Shubman Gill.
Gill asked Kishan why did he miss the practice session, which took place one day prior to the game. Kishan reminded Gill that he was present there and said that he never misses the practice session.
Gill, however, argued that he wasn’t present as he didn’t see him. Kishan then, hilariously, said that he got out twice in the nets on Friday, leaving both of them burst out laughing.

Ishan: I never leave out on a practice session. I am always present.
Gill: But you didn’t come yesterday
Ishan: I was there, probably you didn’t see me.
Gill: I was there yesterday, but you were not there. But when you got to know that you were in the playing XI in the morning, that is when you came for the practice session.
Ishan: I got bowled twice in nets.
