The West Indies and the USA will co-host the T20 World Cup in 2024. It will be played between June 4 to June 30 next year in 10 venues. According to a report from ESPN Cricinfo, a team from the Cricket Governing Body has inspected the venues in the Caribbean and the USA. This is the first time America will be hosting a world event, the venues in the USA also include Florida and Port Lauderhill which have hosted some international T20Is and also a few Caribbean Premier League games.

Two T20Is will be played between India and West Indies in the USA for the upcoming T20I series. When it comes to venues like Morrisville, Dallas and New York they will be used for warm-up games and also for conducting official matches. Dallas and Morrisville are currently also hosting Major League Cricket  (MLC) in the USA. The format of the 2024 World Cup will be different from the last two editions of the tournament. In the first round, 20 Teams will be broken down into groups of five.

West Indies hosted the third edition of the T20 World Cup in 2010

The teams that finish in the top two from each round will make their way to the Super Eights. Then the teams in the Super Eights will be further split up into two groups consisting of four teams. From there the top two from each group will get into the semi-finals of the tournament. With the USA conducting the MLC and also having hosted games before, it will be a big plus for America to be a part of hosting a global event like the T20 World Cup.

The West Indies last hosted the T20 World Cup in 2010. That was the third edition of the tournament which began in 2007.  England won their first T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and defeated arch-rivals Australia in the final. The conditions of the pitches in the tournament will be diverse as the pitches in the USA have seen higher scores at MLC while games in the West Indies have primarily been low scoring. India won the first ODI against West Indies and lead the 3-match series by 1-0.
