Harry Brook showed how he was worth his weight in gold in the IPL. The right-handed batter took the KKR bowlers off their feet as he plundered them to all parts of the Eden Gardens. The right-handed batter made 100 off 55 balls with 12 fours and three sixes. He stood like a rock at the top and held the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings together.
Brook received valuable support from his teammates. Aiden Markram took on the spinners while Brook took on the pacers and scored a very fine 50 off 26 balls with two fours and five sixes. Abhishek Sharma came in at no 5 and tamed the spinners. The left-hander made a quickfire 32 off 17 balls with three fours and two sixes. This helped Brook get closer to the hundred mark before he got the century.

Henrich Klassen gave the finishing touch as he made a 16 run cameo off 6 balls with two fours and one six. Brook finally was able to show that he was worth the 13.25 crore INR price tag that he was bided at the 2022 IPL auction. Brook has been absolutely bossing it for England across all formats. Now he has also shown that he can score big in a high-pressure environment like the IPL. Brook scored 29 runs in his three innings before he got to the magical three figure mark.
Also, the move to push Brook up the order from number three has paid dividends to the SRH side. On good batting conditions at the Eden Gardens, SRH continually strung partnerships to put pressure on KKR. For KKR, it was hammering with the ball as their bowlers travelled to all parts. Lockie Ferguson conceded 37 off his two overs. When it came to Suyash Sharma, he could not replicate his form.
Unlike the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he went for 44 runs off his four overs. Varun Chakravarthy picked up the one wicket but gave away 44 runs in his four overs. It was a hapless bowling performance from KKR.
