Indian allrounder, Hardik Pandya is enjoying one of the most successful periods in his cricketing career. Coming fresh from winning the Indian T20 league 20222 as the captain of the Gujarat Franchise, the star-allrounder is consistently performing in the ongoing T20 series against South Africa. Pandya rescued the Indian innings in the 4th T20I at Rajkot after walking to bat with a score of 81/4 after 12.5 overs and took the team to a respectable total of 169 runs in 20 overs.

Pandya scored 46 runs off 31 balls, smashing 3 fours and 3 sixes in his destructive innings. India went on to win the match by 82 runs and level the series 2-2. In an interaction between Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya, the latter revealed the secret behind his recent success.

“In my early days, I asked Mahi Bhai one question. I asked him how he gets away from pressure, and he gave me some very simple advice — ‘stop thinking about your own score and start thinking about what your team requires’. From very early, that lesson has stuck to my mind and helped me become the kind of player I am now,” Pandya said in a video uploaded by the Indian Cricket Board.

Pandya will be leading the team in the two-match T20 series against Ireland, starting 26th June. Pandya further revealed that he is focused on the game more than the fact that which team he is playing for.

“Nothing changes because I have started playing for the symbol which is on my chest, and I play the situation. I want to get better with time and do it with the frequency I did for Gujarat,” he added.

Pandya had received a lot of flak from the Indian fans owing to his performance and not rolling his arm over in the 20-20 world cup. 2022 In his absence, the team gave chances to Venkatesh Iyer who began his career on a high note. Pandya is more than keen to seal his spot in the team for the upcoming 20-20 world cup 2022.
