Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is no stranger to his social media posts eliciting a fair bit of response due to his considerable following across platforms, and his latest post has really caught the eye.

Kohli posted a picture of his marksheet from his class 10 board exams on the social media platform Koo, revealing his marks from when he gave his exams back in 2004. The photo was posted with one notable alteration, however, with the addition of “Sports?” underneath the usual subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, and others. The caption of the photo read “It’s funny how the things that add the least to your marksheet, add the most to your character,” adding the hashtag #LetThereBeSport.

This post quickly led to a discussion about the importance of sports and other extra-curricular activities in a child’s education, with people viewing Kohli’s marks and subsequent success as a cricketer as an inspiration for children all over. However, many app users were simply starstruck, commenting that they had downloaded the app just to see what Kohli had posted after it had gone viral on the internet.

Here’s a look at how fans reacted to Kohli’s result:

A long time after clearing his board exams, Kohli himself is now gearing up for this year’s edition of the Indian T20 League. The batter will be going into this tournament unencumbered by captaincy, having passed the reins of the Bangalore franchise on to South African batter Faf du Plessis. Kohli is the all-time top scorer in the history of the tournament, having scored a whopping 6,624 runs in 223 matches, with five centuries and 44 half-centuries to his name.

Having seemingly overcome a patch of bad form and found his scoring touch in the recently concluded series against Australia, where he ended his Test century drought in the Border-Gavaskar trophy and looked fairly fluent in the ODIs as well, Kohli will be looking to lead the charge with the bat for Bangalore this season. Bangalore will be facing Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai in their opening match of the tournament at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.
