Sarfaraz Khan earned his much-anticipated India call-up for the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam on Monday. Chris Gayle has long expressed his admiration for Sarfaraz Khan, describing him as one of the best young batters in the country. Sarfaraz was added to India’s team for the second Test after Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul were ruled out with injuries. India’s roster now includes Mumbai’s batsman, Uttar Pradesh left-arm spinner Sourabh Kumar, and Tamil Nadu all-rounder Washington Sundar.
Sarfaraz will likely contend for a position in the XI in the second Test alongside Rajat Patidar, who has been travelling with the squad since the first Test.
