The Indian Cricket Board launched Team India’s new jerseys and Adidas will be the sponsor of the side. There was a video generated by VFX that showed the unveiling of all three jerseys. Indian cricket team shared a video on Instagram and captioned it as “An iconic moment. An iconic stadium. Introducing the new Team India Jerseys.”.  Team India will first wear the Test Jersey in the World Test Championship final against Australia.

When it comes to the T20I Jersey, they will most likely wear it against the West Indies when they tour the Caribbean in July. When it comes to donning the ODI jersey, they will either end up wearing it in the Afghanistan series if it takes place, or they will wear it when they play the ODI series against the Men in Maroon.

India and Australia faced each other previously at the Border-Gavaskar Trophy

With regards to the World Test Championship final, it will be played between 7th to 11th of June. The Venue for the marquee clash will be the Oval where the dukes ball will be used. There have been some pictures of the Indian Team practising with the new training jerseys ahead of the WTC final. Australia has also started practising for the big final. Team India is doing the hard yards at the Arundel Castle Cricket Club.

This is the second time that India and Australia will face each other in a few months after they played the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India. Australia will be a force to reckon with as their pacers will look to make inroads at the Oval. Though some cricket pundits like Michael Vaughan have pointed out that the Oval would be spin-friendly, which means India’s spinners might come into play at some point as the Test match goes on.

India will not look to repeat the mistakes of the 2021 WTC final. They will want to use all the experience of English conditions and try to come out on top. Australia will look to use the experiences from their Ashes encounters. All in all, it should be a riveting contest.
