The first Test between India and Australia will take place in Nagpur on February 9, Thursday and the Indian team are giving it their all in the nets to win the first Test, given that the team led by Rohit Sharma would leave no stone unturned to clinch the series once again, although the Baggy Greens have an upper hand this time around.

While there are many speculations regarding the pitch, several cricketers from the country are voicing out their opinion and are coming up with their choice of playing XI as well. To join them recently was veteran wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik and to the surprise of Indian fans, he left Shubman Gill out for the initial contest.

As many are predicting, Karthik went with skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul as first-choice openers for the initial Test and at Number 4 was veteran batter, Virat Kohli. However, all eyes would be on the Indian superstar Kohli and the skipper Rohit as both stars are yet to come up with their best in the longest format of the game in the past 2 years.

Gill, who is in red-hot form, would look to make an impact in the Border-Gavaskar trophy as well, although his inclusion for the Test still remains doubtful. On the other hand, Rahul is bracing for a comeback and he is the current first-choice opener for the initial Test.

With Cheteshwar Pujara at Number 3, followed by Kohli at 4, the Indian wicketkeeper was happy to include specialist batter Suryakumar Yadav at Number 5. The return of Ravindra Jadeja would also be vital for team India against the Baggy Greens and Karthik had the allrounder at 6.

With KS Bharat at Number 7 and Ravichandran Ashwin at Number 8, Number 9, 10 and 11 were Axar Patel, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. India have a pretty strong squad but it is the preparation from the Aussies that might come as a difference.
