Rohit Sharma, India’s all-format captain, has been widely criticised for his fitness and his continued failures in the shortest format of the game. For the unversed, the Men in Blue crashed out of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 after facing England in the knockouts, when the Three Lions crushed India by 10 wickets, chasing a target of 169. 

As things stand, reports claimed that the Indian cricket board are opting for split captaincy and Hardik Pandya is highly likely to be appointed the permanent captain in the shortest format of the game. The Indian cricket board led by Roger Binny sacked the entire selection committee led by Chetan Sharma on November 18, Friday, silencing all the critics. 

Amid all the chaos, photos of Rohit toiling it hard ahead of the Bangladesh series set to begin in December emerged on Saturday and the fans went crazy over the same, claiming that the Indian opener is all set to make a strong comeback to international cricket.

Rohit, who is yet to play an impactful inning, has not been in the best of his forms and the batter has gathered only 656 runs in the shortest format of the game so far, this year, in the 29 matches that he has played. However, it remains to be seen if the right-handed batter could make a comeback and silence the haters in the upcoming tour to Bangladesh in December. 

With the main players rested, a fresh Indian team is in New Zealand to take on the team for a three-match T20I and ODI series. While Pandya is leading the T20I team, the ODI team will be led by Shikhar Dhawan and VVS Laxman, the former Indian cricket, is the coach for both series.
