‘Gambhir ne kiya Gautam Buddha wala kaam’ – Twitter lauds Gautam Gambhir for helping former cricketer Rahul Sharma’s ailing mother-in-law
Former India leg-spinner Rahul Sharma recently expressed his gratitude towards Gautam Gambhir and his personal assistant for their help in treating his mother-in-law who suffered from a brain haemorrhage last month. Rahul thanked Gambhir for providing him with the best neurologist and hospital in a short amount of time and shared pictures of his mother-in-law who has now successfully undergone surgery and is on the road to recovery.
This act of kindness is not the first by Gambhir. In 2019, Gambhir helped a seven-year-old Pakistani girl get a visa for her treatment, who was suffering from a congenital heart disorder. Gambhir learned about the girl’s condition through former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf who called his office.
Rahul Sharma took to Twitter to thank Gambhir for his immense help. In a thankful note, he wrote, “Last month was very difficult. My mother-in-law had a brain haemorrhage. She was in critical condition. Thank you Gautam Gambhir paji & (his PA Gaurav Arora) who helped me in such a difficult time, & he provided the best neurologist and hospital in a short time. Surgery has been done successfully,” tweeted Rahul.
“Now she is absolutely fine & thanks to Gangaram hospital & their staff for excellent care. Special thanks to Dr Manish Chugh, your compassionate treatment is miraculous,” he added.
Gambhir, who is also a BJP MP from East Delhi, has been mentoring the Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023. His generosity in helping others in need is admirable and serves as an inspiration to all.
