G2 Esports and Virtus.pro have defeated their opponents in the upper bracket and made their way to the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) PGL Major Copenhagen. Both teams dominated their opponents with a surprising 2-0 victory in a best-of-three match.

G2 gets their payback

Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice 2024 saw G2 dominated by Faze, leading to an early exit. It was time for a payback, and payback is what they got. Matches were played on Anubis and Ancient. G2 did not let NaVi take map control in any situation, ending both games in their favour.

While there is a great chance of them meeting back in the Major, the initial satisfaction of defeating Faze must have been satisfying for G2 Esports.

Virtus.pro dominates NaVi

The new NaVi could not keep up against Virtus.pro. Oddly enough, both matches were in Ancient and Anubis, same as G2 Vs Faze. Virtus.pro stopped NaVi at 9 in both matches to secure a spot in the Major.

On the flip side of the leaderboard, Into The Breach and Ninjas in Pyjamas has failed to qualify for the Major. One more team will be following their footsteps very soon.

The ongoing European RMR A is also getting closer to an end and players will soon have their eight teams securing a spot in the major. Five teams behind the top eight will have one more shot to secure a spot in the major through RMR Decider Brackets.
