Jaiswal scored his double century from 277 balls, leading India to a 350-plus total in the first innings. Jaiswal’s previous highest score was 171, which came on his debut against the West Indies.

Jaiswal began batting on Day 2 after going unbeaten on 179 runs the previous day. He has been India’s lone warrior since none of the other batsmen have scored more than 40 runs.
