Former Pakistan cricketer posts heartfelt reply to Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet for his children

The two batting legends share a good rapport with each other.

Sachin Tendulkar the Indian batting legend recently posted a tweet. This tweet was posted on Sunday while the entire country was glued to watching India versus Australia ODI in Indore.

India and Pakistan cricket matches have thrown up volatile moments on different occasions on the field. Off the field though the players from both sides have nothing but respect for each other.

One such moment was seen recently on social media. Sachin Tendulkar and Saeed Anwar are two of the greatest batters in the annals of cricket. The two batters dominated the cricketing spectrum with their batting talents.

Sachin Tendulkar gets heart-warming reply from Saeed Anwar

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar had recently taken to Twitter. The 50-year-old wrote, “What a beautiful coincidence! Celebrating Arjun’s birthday and #Daughter’s day on the same day. I couldn’t be a happier father”. Sachin Tendulkar had posted a picture of two children from their toddler days.

Saeed Anwar known to be a quiet character made an exception when he replied “Masha Allah Sachin! Wishing Arjun a happy birthday and thoughts and best wishes to Sara”. This reply caught the attention of millions as they appreciated the warmth and respect the two legends share.

Arjun Tendulkar turned 24 on Sunday while the world was also celebrating Daughter’s Day. The 24-year-old made his IPL Debut for Mumbai Indians last year and played a handful of games. Sara on the other hand is noted for her presence on social media and her charitable initiatives.

Saeed Anwar scored then world-record 194 versus India at Chennai in 1997. This record was broken in February 2010 by none other than Sachin Tendulkar. The then 36-year-old became the first batter to score a double century in ODI cricket against South Africa at Gwalior.

Once his record was broken Saeed Anwar had nothing but respect for the Indian legend. Saeed Anwar had said “Nobody else deserves to get there. It’s only Sachin who deserves to scale that peak. 200 is a big score in ODI cricket. It’s not easy to get there”

Saeed Anwar played 55 test matches for Pakistan and scored 4052 runs with 11 centuries and 25 fifties. He had a test average of 45.23 with a best of 188 at Kolkata versus India. Oin 247 ODI games the left-hander scored 8824 runs with 20 centuries and 43 half-centuries with an average of 39.
