Former India bowler Dodda Ganesh seemed unhappy with the decision to leave Sanju Samson out of the T20I squad for the tour of the West Indies. Whenever any squad of the Indian team is announced, the fans flood Twitter with tweets feeling sorry for the Kerala batter Sanju Samson. Despite making his debut way back in 2015 against Zimbabwe, Samson has just played 14 T20 internationals since then.

The wicketkeeper batter last played in the second T20I against Ireland in the recent series where he scored a magnificent 77. The batter wasn’t considered even for the recent T20I series against England as well and now his absence from the squad for the series against West Indies has left many fans annoyed.

Irked by the exclusion of the star batter from the squad the former player took to Twitter to express his disappointment.

“Ideally, you would want players like Sanju Samson in the T20s. Ignoring him for Shreyas Iyer is beyond cricketing rationale,” tweeted Dodda Ganesh.

The India tour of the West Indies will begin on 22nd July with the teams set to play a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series against each other. The ODI squad was announced by the Indian cricket board a few days back where the board decided to rest senior players like Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to manage their workload. Shikhar Dhawan will be leading the team while Ravindra Jadeja will be the vice-captain.

The t20 squad was announced yesterday with the surprise inclusion of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav also made a comeback into the side. The five-match T20I series will begin on 29th July with three different venues to host the matches.
