Football fan watches FIFA match during his surgery, picture goes viral
Football fans have become engrossed in the matches as FIFA World Cup fever sweeps the globe. They make every effort not to miss a single match and watch each game with eagerness. A die-hard football fan, on the other hand, took it to the next level by continuing his craze while undergoing spinal anaesthesia.
Anand Mahindra, a business tycoon, discovered the photograph of the World Cup being screened during the medical procedure and tagged FIFA on Twitter, asking if the man deserved a trophy. The chairman of Mahindra and Mahindra retweeted Notes from Poland. The tweet read, “A man in Poland continued watching the World Cup even while having an operation under spinal anaesthesia. The picture was shared by the hospital treating him, SP ZOZ MSWiA in Kielce.”

According to the Dailymail, the man had surgery on his “lower regions” on November 25 in Kielce. The unnamed man reportedly asked the doctors if he could watch the match between Wales and Iran.
After administering spinal anaesthesia, the doctors allowed him to watch the World Cup on a television set up in one corner of the operating room. The procedure, which could last up to three hours, gave the man plenty of time to watch Wales lose.
